Yoga is the possibility of living (and aging) gracefully.  The practice of Hatha yoga, the physical postures, and the breathing technique, is both gentle and challenging. Having evolved over 6 thousand years as a rigorous and powerful system, yoga enables you to have a deeper and a more mindful relationship with your body, and a more intimate connection with your mind. This expanded awareness naturally inspires you to eating better, feeling stronger, being more flexible in body and mind, and a more profound sense of well being.    

The less visible yet more powerful aspect of a yoga practice is rooted in self – examination. This is the foundation of the process.  As you practice you become more aware of your body, your breath and the nature of your mind.  You develop into an observer of the self. With this different quality of listening to your thoughts and emotions you start to develop mindfulness. Consequently you become more aware of and less attached to the negative patterns  in your life.  You start to enjoy a deeper sense of self-acceptance and inner peace, which in turn promotes a greater capacity to accept others. You experience  more control over your moods and emotions, and you learn to respond with a more conscious awareness during stressful situations, tapping into the lessons offered through your life experience and innate wisdom. You experience yourself as being simultaneously more open, present, connected, and response-able for who you are and what you bring to life.
